If you don't get an answer, there are hundreds of posts in the archives on this.

I don't have Bipolar, but I do have social phobia and just recently started taking Paxil CR (controlled release or maybe SR, slow release, can't remember). Anyway after one week, I've noticed less social phobia.
Example: Went to dr. on monday for viral/upper respiratory and waiting room was standing room only. I would have died having to check in while in front of everybody. However, this time after taking the paxil, I really just didn't care much who was watching me, and really never even thought that they would be watching me.
hope that helps a little.

I take Lamictal 200mg with Klonopin 5mg + or - depending on the anxiety. It is working as well as I could want. Best combo I've tried to date. I've never taken Paxil though. I don't think I will either.

I take Paxil for BPII/GAD/OCD and it works really well. It's been about four months and I feel good but do still use Xanax daily. I think the most important thing for me is that the social anxiety that came about from my job is gone and that I am back at work. Good luck finding the right combo.
