I was wondering whether anyone has used zoloft and paxil for scoail anxiety. The only med that has ever helped me is paxil but i cannot tolerate it too well. It Zoloft a pretty good med for that? similar to paxil? has anyone ever used effexor for it?

I would skip the Paxil and Zoloft altogether and go for Luvox. If i were you though, try paxil, try zoloft, if you are not satisfied, i guarantee Luvox would be the answer. I have taken every SSRI and most benzos and Luvox has been the only one that has worked for this condition. My belief is it is the strongest out of all of them

Hello, I once took paxil for social anx. and it worked, but like you, I couldnt take the side effects and had to get off. I tried zoloft- nothing.....it didnt do anything. I now take 2 mg of xanax xr and that helps, but doesnt make me social, it just makes me not get panic attacks. But maybe your experiance will be different. You just have to go down the road of medication (trial and error)....Good LuckAnn

I just started Xanax XR 1mg and instead of prescribing it once daily, he told me to take one in the morning and one at bedtime. I thought it was supposed to be a once a day dosing. When do you take yours?
