Zypexa Plus Ablify equal remission?

Posted by missinglynx on January 19, 2004, at 7:08:08

After a hard fought remission Im back to post here. I really had a bad :"fall" over Christmas Time.
Im adding 1.25 of Zypexa to my medication Mix. This is for Lack of Appetite and clinical Depression. Has anyone out there found this is a good augmenting agent for their SSRIS or Ablify?

MY current Medication Mix is
*Abilify 15mgs.
*Zyprexa 1.25 mgs.
Paxil CR 25 mgs.
Testosterone injections at home.

Good luck everyone!

Not sure what augmenting aggent is.

Abilify and zyprexa are very opposite, and can cancle out some effects of the other. I take 2.5 abilify and 5-7.5 zyprexa. Too much zyprexa makes me tired and cranky. So I take less. The abilify wakes me up and has a different effect. The only thing I don't like about abilify is the slight anxiety, which zyprexa does the opposite.

Supposedly they do the same thing. So hopefully two is better than one.

I have not experienced any problems taking Zyprexa and Abilify together. My present cocktail is:

2.5 mg Zyprexa (pm)
3.75 mg Abilify (am)
600 mg Lithium (pm)
12 mg Strattera (am)

Good Job Lazarus......I'm guessing we three (Sebastian, missinglynx, and you) are one of the very few in America that are on BOTH zyprexa and Abilify!!
I went out for Szechwan (chinese) food and found the Zyprexa made me hungry as a horse (which is the reason I persuaded my Psychiatrist to give it a trial) I was losing weight------(I wanted to keep my weight at 195------and just not enjoying my food! OH how Zyprexa is fantastic for that!

It's too soon to tell how its affecting my depression and paranoid thoughts........SO lets keep in touch and see how this evolves and pans out
Good Health to you

Right on Sebastian!
Did you have any troubles adjusting to the Abilify ? Did you feel any strong reactions either way to your first dosages?

Keep up the good work

I realy liked the first dose. It was a little tough adjusting, it took a few trials to get the doseing right.
