This is probably a stupid question...but I just can't figure out what disorder people are referring to by the use of "SP"

Not a stupid question by any means...SP stands for Social Phobia although more people nowdays refer to it as Social Anxiety Disorder as it is not recognized in the DSM-IV (The American Psychiatric Association's
diagnostic manual).
