Hi. Just wanted to say that I read alot of what all of you wrote about Lexapro and am so glad..just started taking Lex. 1 1/2 wks ago. !0 mg. and have been taking up to 200 mg. Zoloft for 10 yrs. for severe PMS (no joke) and OCD with anxiety. Dr. is slowly been taking me off Zoloft and I literally have felt like I have been losing my mind, doing things that I normally don't do. Like being depressed and feeling very sorry for myself,Extremely agitated, not sleeping, but feeling tired constantly, like bone aching tired. I am so glad I read your stories because no one has gone over any of theses side affects...was only told..slight nausea, mild diarrhea, maybe a headache...very mild symptoms. I am so glad I found this because I was really worrying that there was something wrong with me. Any imput or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Well, I only started Lexapro 6 days ago and also had a lot of side effects that were not told to me by my dr. (I still don't think my dr believes me about the leg jerking and joint pressure and tension.) The people on this site have been so supportive. I don't know what I would have done with myself this last week without them. I can't tell you yet if Lex is going to work for me--but I can tell you that I'm right here with you and you are not alone. --Lyssa

That's what this board is all about!!! It helped me SO much to get through the initial side effects, to have a place like this for support and encouragement. It's comforting to talk to others who are going through the same thing.
Good luck to us all!!~~~8|8

I found this site while looking up Lex side effects. Dr. didn't really tell me about them when he pscd them either. I thought I might be allergic or having a bad reaction, but found out here that many experienced similar se's. Mine were pretty much gone or going away at week 3. I called in sick to work all of 2nd wk and laid on couch/bed in misery. I hung in there with encouragement from the great people here and I'm doing a lot better now.
We're all pulling for you!~~~8|8
