I need some simple experienced advice if prozac or wellbutrin would be a better for withdrawing. Meth releases lots of dopamine, which makes you feel good. Wellbutrin blocks dopamine lightly, but would it still give me that well-being feeling that meth gives me(of course it wouldnt be as intense). Prozac blocks serotoin, which isnt the same neurotransmitter, but would it help a little? Does serotoin responding drugs(SSRI'S, prozac) make you peppy like dopamine producing drugs make you(amphetamines/uppers) just asking. I would just like some good advice, thanks.

<<My own limited experience with an SSRI (paxil) was horrible. It made me horribly sleepy, worn down, no energy....but that's me. Wellbutrin has been activating for me, lots more energy, decreased appetite.....Good luck!

How about Effexor and Strattera? Both are supposed to be energizing for some people.

Effexor is only supposed to be energizing at higher levels. Wellbutrin might be a good choice though. :)
