Abilify and Eskalith

Posted by Yvonne on September 20, 2003, at 12:31:49

I am BiPolar and Schizophrenic. I have been taking Eskalith, Effexor, and Seroquel. I am VERY depressed and have had episodes of vomitting and a bad rash. My doctor wants to change me to Abilify and Eskalith instead. Anyone taking Abilify? Any opinions?

I have tryed abilify, and give it a Very bad review. Side-effects: No sleep, anxiety. Similar for just about everyone, except in small doses, smallar than what the pills come in. I think you should try zyprexa! This is most likely to prevent vomiting; I think.

i am finding abilify quite good at a low dose... effects: no longer sleep 16 hours a day, have some motivation to do things
(i take either 1 quarter or one half of the 15 mg pill) -- i used to take 2.5 mg zyprexa for comparison

I admit the lower dose of abilify is more tolerable. My problem came when I was on the higher dose, 15mg/day. CyberCafe is more knowledgeable on this.
