I just had to quit a clinical trial early, and I don't know if I was getting depakote er, or the placebo. I've been out of hospital for 4 days and I feel like hell. strong self harm, suicidal thoughts, kind of mixed episode symptoms, sweating, ...btw I started back on my wellbutrin 150mg and topomax 25mg 2 days ago.
Any ideas? thanks

I plan to stop mine as of tonight...don't know about dangers...I think if you are taking it for seizure control it is dangerous...not sure about depression.

I attempted to "wean" myself off Depakote after 6 months of 500 mg daily. I didn't like it and decided to taper off on my own...obviously much too fast. Terrible withdrawal - I stopped sleeping, started experiencing panic attacks for the first time, anxiety level cranked up to an unbearable degree. I'm not suggesting that you stay on Depakote, only that you taper under medical supervision. Very important!

I was in a clinical trial, and I left the hospital early, and they didnt give me any more, so I thought that was the end(?)

same thing different drug:
I had to stop Lithium abruptly due to side effects. The only thing I experienced was extreme lethargy.
