...the power of suppliments~

Posted by slinky on June 27, 2003, at 3:52:56

Feeling a little better and more level taking vitamins/minerals in conjunction with my meds..trying to combat fatigue/depression/anxiety without going too far over the thin line, the nasty side of hyper/mania.
Costing me a fortune, but I'm desperate.

I am glad you are having some results. I can't take anything - vits, suppliments,etc... without them making me feel like, well, awful. I hope you continue to see the results you want.

Can I ask what vitamins/minerals seem to be helping with depression/anxiety? I'd like to believe there really might be some hope in these areas .... Thanks, Temmie

Hi...

Well :
Vitamin e 200mg
Vitamin C 1000mg
Niacin 200mg/reduced to 100
Selenium 200mg
Calcium+vitaminD 600mg
Ginko Biloba 900mg
Zinc 15mg
Magnesium 250
also B vitamins
Garlic-raw-if I can handle it :-) up to 4 cloves
I think the magnesium and niacin and b vits are helping. The garlic lifts fatigue.
I've just started so may be placebo effect, except for the smelly garlic.

I also recommend Folic Acid.Very reputable studies have linked its deficiency (sp?) to depression.

hi, may I ask what supplements you are referring to here? I have heard wonderful stories of the benefits of taking supplementws in conjunction with our meds and I want to give it a try i just don't know which ones. I heard folic acid and selenium but any others and what dosages? I've gotten a little bit of info, but still working on it.
thank you for your help in advance

Gal
