anyone ever been on or try a patch that is used for pain? last like 3 days and then you replace it? cant remember the name but wondering if anyone out there knows of it or has any stories to share about this drug..good vs bad etc?

I've used a fentanyl (sp?) patch- which is a very strong morphine-like med; it works extremely well and is usually prescribed for severe pain. take care, judy

My mom was just prescribed a fentanyl patch for pain from bone fractures in her vertibrae. It is a three day patch. She wasn't getting results from NSAIDS or tylenol, and reacted very badly to anything with codeine or related drugs. So we'll see....
