I know that this combination isn't FDA approved..LOL.. but I'd just like to share my experience with this combo.
Well, as I said in my earlier posts Klonopin 1-1.5mg takes care of my social anxiety. BUT if add 2 beers to it - I get very positively drunk. By "positively" I mean: VERY outgoing, VERY assertive, VERY confident, VERY sexually disinhibited. And with only 2 beers I feel dopamine high (drunk) but not as much to have a hangover the next day. That's my story :)

GREAT combo! Good with a small dose of adderall too. :)

Just the beers would work fine for me, but my boss disapproves of me drinking two beers before every meeting.

>Just take some stimulant instead. It's really not such a good idea to take a drug that induces disinhibition (ethanol) combined with a drug that has the potential for disinibition already. You may feel you're a "smoother" drunk on the combo, and lack the desire to drink more than two, but you can still end up doing or saying something you'll regret whenever you're disinihibited.

I also agree 100%. It really cuts down on the number of beers I may want to drink at a gathering! Don't even need 'em!

About taking a stim for social anxiety - is that really supposed to help? Because I take 40 mg of Ritalin SR a day & it definitely doesn't seem to help me. 'Course I have ADD, so maybe that's a part of the"paradoxical" effect. I feel like a social freak. I function fine once I'm actually IN a social situation. No anxiety whatsoever. However, I would hang out in my house 24/7 if that were possible. My idea of heaven on earth would be never having to open my front door. Opening the back door is ok because there's an 8 ft. fence around my back yard.

I have ADD too, hence my access to Desoxyn (methamphetamine)-- which I will try tonight with Klonopin at a party. Makes me talk, and Klono calms me down.
I know what it's like to be on Ritalin, Adderall. They make your anxiety worse. The idea here is to augument with Klonopin, so you both want to talk and are calm.

I think it's being pretty irresponsible to combine beer with Klonopin. Don't you people realize that mixing alcohol and benzoziazepines ( e.g. Xanax, Valium, Klonopin) can be fatal?

I guess no one heard me the first time. So I'll say it again. Whether it's beer, Tequila, wine, Jack Daniels, or Tennessee moonshine, MIXING ALCOHOL WITH BENZOS CAN BE FATAL.
Is that clear enough?

I think the caution is appropriate -- benzos alone are very hard to OD with, but their interaction with alcohol is unpredictable and potentially dangerous.
However, I still drink (moderately) and have never noticed any interaction whatsoever between alcohol and Klonopin or Xanax. I should add that I never take the two at the same time (i.e, I take K in the AM, and any drink I have is 10-12 hrs later), am on low doses of benzos, and tried this very carefully at first. There really is a potential danger, and it's individual-specific like everything else, so caution is advised.
This is the end of the thread.
