I've heard people post here citing some doctor who has said after a few weeks of continious Klonopin treatment, the somnolence goes away.
Is this really true? Any thoughts? I get it prn, and it makes me so tired I have to plan a 2 hour nap right after taking it so I can enjoy it instead of being painfully tired while on it. I take .5mg-1mg prn, a few times per month.

For me, the sleepiness went away after a week or two of daily use -- you may just have it get used to it on a daily basis, if your dr. allows. I have no side effects whatsoever now.

Set your alarm for 2 hours before you have to get up. Take your klonopin (Keep a pill and some water by your bed) and then go back to sleep for two hours. After that, you will be ready to start your day, having gotten your necessary two hour K-induced sleep out of the way.

I just started Klonopin on Monday as a last ditch effort as a MS. Nothing else has worked, or if they did I had intolerable side effects.
Last try was with Risperidone. EPS was horrific.
and then a nasty rash. But, my qestion is does the Klonopin seem to work as a MS as well?
Today, I feel more clear headed and awake. I find that I get horribly sleepy around noon. I take .25 at 7 p.m. Crash out at 9:30 whether I want to or not.
Thanks for your support.
