In terms of medication, I would have to say a stimulant (amphetamine) or Opioids, and even Benzos.

Hi, I know when I used to run track -THAT was the BEST mood enhancer I got:-)
However, anything takes time and patience as I am slowly learning myself.
Hope this helped?

What about when you have uncontrollable crying and lethargy?

I'm sorry to hear this. MY crying spells have pretty much disappeared, but I remember them well and understand what you are saying. I just bought a bike. I love to go riding bikes. I bought it 5 days ago, I have the same thing lethargy, BUT I am wondering if it is because I have no motivation. I find that when I don't and I just DO IT (the good ole NIKE slogan-which by the way bugged me), I do it, and feel better, and it gets easier, I fall into a routine, and I feel better.
Can you try it?
Hope this helps, and please keep me posted, I am here for you:-)

I know where you are and its horrible.
For me sometimes, I have so much rage and anger
I feel too low to cry. Then when I excercise
It elevates me to a point that I can cry.Excercise may not perminately improve your
mood, but It can help you to make important
decisions, and give you a sence of controll.
One time excercise lifted me to a point where
I felt I was deserving enough to the hospital.
Now it seems to complete my mood.
But no, you are right. It is not the cure
for mental illness, but a usefull tool.Best of Luck

"....One time excercise lifted me to a point where

In my youth, pot was the best pick me up
(and also the most readily available).
Nowadays it is extremely dangerous with
the government and wierdos doing all sorts of things to it.

when I was a child, my mother used to tell me that physical work helps for depression, and many mental illnesses.
I've done that when i had a severe depression, and it worked. (example doing a heavy work around the house)
