No news. I called the company (Lilly) today 2/20/03 and all they would do is refer me to the web site. They can't say much due to the ever present threat from the FDA Nazis.

What is the latest? I've been out of the PB loop lately, but I did see that duloxetine got a letter of approval from the fda, or some such thing, a while back...
Does anyone know if the "plan" is to market it specifically as an AD...? or specifically for [I think(-?-) that the other use that I saw for it was] something related to urinary retention...?
Or if the "plan" is to market it for both indications?
Has there been any info on when it may be available in the US? Or outside the US?
-for either of those (or for some other) indications?(...if it isn't already available somewhere... for something...?)
Thanks.

I spoke to a representative at Lilly a few weeks ago. The FDA granted for Cymbalta an "approvable letter", which is the next to last step in the approval process. Final approval is pending the wording of the label (package insert) and inspection of the manufacturing process. She could not tell me how much longer it would be. I know a doctor who works in their psychopharmacologic brain imaging department. I had thought to speak to him, but I keep forgetting. I'll see if I can find out anything new.
