Strangesideeffectsonhigh-dose Remeron wanttogetoff

I have been taking remeron for two and a half years for panic and tic disorder. I've been taking 75 mg for a year. I am having very unusual sensory problems with odors, lights and heat setting off panic attacks several times a day (at least the heat part is better with the cold). No Im not depressed but I cant function like this. I had a sleep-deprived eeg but havent got the results back. Have had few (like 4) seizures in my life,I personally think this has something to do with my sensory problems with this medication. I've always had this sensitivity but now its driving me crazy.I'm also disgusted with the non-stop weight gain. Last time I tried to quit a got a rebound migraine. I did well on neurontin and seroquel for anxiety and would like to go back. Whats the best way to taper down without rebound/withdrawal effects?Would it help to up the neurontin while I taper down? Should I ask for a beta-blocker too to offset any potential migraine?

I can't answer any of your questions since I am no expert but I was wondering if the Remeron helped with your tics or did it make them worse?

to answer your question, yes, it helped a great deal with the compulsion to do the ticcing. What was great the first year was I'd feel like I'm going to do them, and then I just didnt "feel" like following through. For me unfortunately, I slowly developed newer ones, but I still dont tic nearly as much as I used to, and they arent as many and as varied. The problem for me is all the sensory problems I have now are constantly setting me off. So I basically do a couple of tics all the time. I am at a high level though, 60 is suppossed to be tops. You can be as low as 15 and see the positive effect on the ticcing though.
