Bob,
I have looked a bit more deeply into mifepristone and it still has the possible problems I pointed out but my god what an impressive sounding medication.
It was originally developed as an anti cushings syndrone medication but to have been so quickly noticed for its antidepressant effect is impressive in itself.
Also initial small trials were not carried out by money hungry drug companies but by independant researchers who may have a lot less to gain by shall we say massaging the results.
Please tell your doc to emigrate to england immediately!I apologize if in any way I put you off this drug
as I said in a previous post I would definitely take it, now I have looked into it more I feel optimistic about a med for the first time in a long time.
If you do decide to go on it please let us know

> glennHi Glenn and Bob.
I came across something about mifepristone awhile back, but didn't follow up on it. What have you come up with and where on the Internet can I find out more about it?
I have been stuck in a refractory bipolar depression for over 20 years. HELP!
