I have unipolar depression. For almost a year now I have been taking 200mg/day Pamelor, 300mg/day Effexor XR, 60 mg/day Remeron, and 1mg/day Klonpin. About two weeks ago, I developed an itchy rash that started on my thighs and spread to my back, stomach, lower legs, and arms. After numerous over-the-counter allergy and anti-fungal creams, I finally went to my family doctor, who diagnosed it as an allergic reaction to one of my medicines, particularly Pamelor. Has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

Hi,
I have been on pamelor for almost 9 years or so. I only take 50 mg since the side effects kill me at a higher dose. I have also taken remeron, and if I had to hazard a guess it could be that med, IF it is one of your meds. I have really dry skin and haven't had a problem with pamelor, but the remeron made my feet sweat more and sometimes over heat. I would ask your doctor if it could be the remeron. Probably not much help, but that is all the experience I have. take care
