I know I have raised this question in some form or another, but now I am concerned. I have been at a very high dose of Prozac for almost 4 weeks. However, last week I had a really bad migraine episode and now I am noticing that I have migraine like headache symptoms every day. My depression is dramatically improved, however I am concerned about the constant headaches? Does anyone know if Prozac can contribute to headaches, particularly, migraine? Thanks

I answered your e-mail without noticing this question. I just remembered when I was first tried on Prozac about 12 years ago. It was the first SSRI out. I took it for 6 weeks with no benefits noticed but the whole time I did have constant low grade nausea & a low grade dull but persistent headache. No other SSRIs gave me a headache except Prozac.

I think I get more headaches since I started Prozac, but not a persistent headache.
