Zoloft and concentration?

Posted by Bookgurl99 on April 24, 2002, at 14:49:53

Due to an unrelated medication affect, I had troubles with short-term memory loss for about a month. I am still having concentration difficulties, but with medical causes ruled out, I assume that it is partly caused by the stress/anxiety of the original medication reaction.

My psychiactric nurse has suggested that I take Zoloft to help with the anxiety.

So, prior to taking it, I am wondering -- what have your experiences been with your concentration level in regards to Zoloft?

It's very weird how this medication works with me. My concentration level has increased. However, my short-term memory is totally shot.

I am experiencing the exact same thing as DP. I can finally sit still long enough to concentrate on something, watch t.v. etc. But I have to agree, it has affected my short term memory, but not as bad as some of the meds I have tried. It seems to slow down the thought process to me.
