Hello John,
we've not errr "met" so - hello there.
I was at my shrink's last night and we went over how to deal with traumatic visions [mine is of empty, dark rooms/places]. He showed me this technique called EMT/EMDR. In the book he lent me, the author [Fred Friedberg, Ph.D.] says he has successfully treated several fibromyalgia sufferers who reported significant reductions in pain amongst other important benefits.Your plight popped into my bonce and thus this post. Have you tried EMT/EMDR?
Cheers,
pete.

Hi Pete,Nice to formally say hello!
I can't say that I am familiar with EMT/EMDR?
Lately I am having traumatic visions about returning to work, so I may need it though. ;)
What is it ?
John

I've not really given it a go but it sounds like a lot of people have been helped by it. Here's an amazon link to the book I've borrowed:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1572242566/drbobsvirte00-20
Also, just do a search on google for "eye movement" or "EMT" and you'll be away. I know that you're a bit of a research-fiend :o) so I'll leave you to get on with finding out more as I don't know much about it myself.
Cheers,
pete.
