Has anyone else found that increasing the doses of SSRIs causes a very noticable change for a few days, and then dies off?
What were your experiences?

This seems to be fairly common in many people, but not all. I don't know whether it may be an unconscious placebo effect or simply the body reacting to the increase, but the initial good feeling isn't the one that lasts.
If a person's going to improve on an increase dosage, it'll take a week to 3 weeks before the effects are to be trusted.

Augmentation with buspirone or pindolol may help you greatly: http://www.dr-bob.org/tips/split/Buspirone-to-augment-antid.html
The other poster is right about giving it perhaps 2 weeks to develop steady-state concentrations of the new higher dose.
