Is it all a load of crap ????

Hi,

If you increase the dose of prozac does it take another 4-6 weeks to work ? Also does prozac really work like it does for the patients in Listening to Prozac, i'm beginning to wonder if they weren't all hypomanic on it. Or is prozac really just a placebo that doesn't work at all?
Regards
j

dont remember

That is what happened to me, "revealed" bipolar two

YMMV, for me it jazzed me up like caffine, my neighbor who is dx ADD, it put her to sleep.

Prozac is the most activating (one of the strongest) and the least selective of the SSRIs. It is definitely a strong medicine for depression but perhaps you need something stronger if your increased prozac dose doesn't work, i.e. Effexor XR or Nardil (an MAOI).
