Ok. I'm worried. I'm taking 75mg of Luvox, and about .5mg of Klonipin each day. Every morning when I wake up (very late because I have so much trouble getting up)... then about a half hour later I'm in the throes of weakness and nausea. By nightfall, I'm feeling better. This has been occurring for 3 or 4 days, and I think it's getting worse? It doesn't seem like a sickness, because it remits at night. I really really don't feel good during the day though.

Are you taking these drugs during the daytime or at bedtime?

I'm taking 75mg of Luvox at bedtime, and .5mg of Klonopin spread throughout the day in four 1/16 mg pieces. About a 2 weeks or so ago, I was getting very sedated under this regimen, and reduced the Klonopin by 1/16 mg for a few days, and then another 1/16 when the sedation didn't let up. When these symptoms started, I quickly went back up to the original Klonopin dosage.
I called my pdoc, and he doesn't think it's entirely pschiatric related. He says there are strains of viruses which fluctuate on a 24 hour basis. I'd have to say that if that's what it is, then this is the first time I've ever had something like this: a virus which starts about 1/2 hr after I wake up, and gets worse everyday... but remits completely at night. In fact - for awhile last night, I felt on top of the world.
I guess my final question would be: can being in a state of depression produce virus-like symptoms??? I've been dealing with this crap for about 11 years, and I've never felt this. However, my condition seems to be getting progressively worse.

Bob:
Nausea is common with most antidepressants, but you may just want to mention it to your doc next visit. But, an *excellent* relief for nausea is available without a script at your drug store..it is called 'Drammamine' in the U.S., and 'Gravol' in Canada.I stock up on it....it just works so excellent.
All the best..
Jay :-)

Bob-
Sounds like morning sickness to me! But I'm assuming you are a male. If the Dramamine doesn't help, try gingerroot capsules. Excellent for nausea.

Well, I now know that I didn't have a "virus". At least, I'm 99.9999999 percent sure. It was withdrawal effects from Clonazepam. I'm *EXTREMELY* sensitive to it. I was taking only 3/8 of a mg spread throughout the day in 1/8 increments along with my 75mg of Luvox at night. I began to get very tired at night, and extremely sedated in the morning -- so much so that I wasn't getting up before 12 or 1. I cut back to 2/8 and didn't notice much of a change for at least 3-4 days, so I cut down to 1/8. BOOM! I started getting nausea that would last a good portion of the day, along with dizziness and fatigue. Sure seemed like a virus to me. It was hard to eat without feeling bad. Then I started getting depressed and anxious. That made me wonder, so I went immediately back to a full .5mg spread throughout the day. I'm slowly stabilizing after 3 days. That was brutal. Now what the heck am I going to do??? I have too much sedation from the combo of Luvox and Clonazepam, but it seems like whatever change I make will be very painful indeed.
This is the end of the thread.
