Geno,
It is most commonly used to control seizures. The other uses are for chronic pain syndromes (i.e., fibromyalgia) and as a mood stabilizer in psychiatry (usually with another mood stabilizer such as Lithium or Depakote being used to treat biplolar disorder). There also have been cases where it has been effective for ADHD in adults and children alone or in combination with psychostimulants. There have also been studies that show some efficacy for social anxiety and panic disorders. I take it for bipolar+ADHD+social phobia and it works on all three problems to some degree.

maybe it's just the weather, or maybe it's titrating up on neurontin, but i fel high as a f*cking kite. i started neurontin a couple of weeks ago and i'm at 600 mg now, scheduled to go up to 900 mg next week. prozac and klonopin had helped to quell my anxiety and depression, but neurontin makes me *enjoy* things.
of course, this all may be psychsomatic. i like neurontin, though. i rode several miles on my bike tonight. i would have never done that a few eeks ago. i had a grand time.

>f*cking kite. This is the dirty little secret about Neurontin that I dont tell my pdoc because I just cant believe this is legal. To take a legal drug and feel as high as a friggin kite!!! :) :) :)
>anxiety and depression, but neurontin makes me
>*enjoy* things.Yes thats one of the good things about it for those for whom it has a good affect.
> of course, this all may be psychsomatic. iI wondered the same thing too because I felt that as time went on I was coming down a bit but leveling off. I think there is a noticible change when you start but as you and it gets used to it in you, it levels off so you may not feel as high or always as energetic but you feel better in general. Some may be placebo effect however I think a lot of it is not, its real.

>few eeks ago. i had a grand time.Yes I like its energizing effects.
