I am now taking the generic form of Klonopin (clonazepam) 1mg x3tid for Panic attacks and SP, what I was wondering is there a difference between the generic and brand name. Also is the the brand name Klonopin still available in the US ? I don't mind paying more if it is going to be more effective. I am new to this board, so please forgive me for the dumb questions. Thanks.

I also take Klonopin for panic attacks, I have tried both the generic and brand name, and honestly I can't tell a difference, so I have stuck with the generic. It works well for me, I take the same dose as you and often use it if I can't sleep.

I think that Roche stopped making Klonopin recently. The generic should be bioequivalent; I wouldn't worry about it.
Hope this helps.
