Help anyone....I am willing to travel anywhere...does anyone know of a really really good pdoc that will take out of town patients. I live in a very small town with no pdocs for at least 100 miles. My GP only knows what I tell her. Have been on coedine for years for chronic pain. Also Prozac 80mg/WellbutrinSR 300mg.
But I want to get off the codeine. Any suggestions on which antidepressants will help the initial discomfort and fatigue? Thanks

If you go to the web site "depression central" run by Dr. Ivan Goldberg, he has a list of expert psychopharmacologists who deal with mood disorders. The web site is:
There is also more information on mood disorders than you could ever read at this site. Go into the "depression central" area, and scroll down the alphabetical links to "P"

I'm in Texas, but am willing to travel to see an expert in the field. Thanks for the input, I plan on reading it thoroughly.

there is a drug that helps with the withdrawal effect of narcodics. I don't know the name off-hand. Do a web search on "narcodic dependency drugs" or something to that effect. Also, most likely a chemical dependency hospital would be the most suitable. They have outpatient treatments as well.
