just stopped taking 10 mg./day of adderall and switched to 150mg wellbutrin 2x/day. Can anyone tell me if wellbutrin has the same effect or what? 10mg didn't really do a whole hell of a lot...high tolerance

You didn't say why you stopped taking Adderall or What were you taking it for. I assume it was for ADD/ADHD. 10 mg of Adderall isn't a very high dose - we routinely treat people with up to 30mg twice per day. Also - are you taking Wellbutrin regular or SR?(just curious - I don't care for the regular version). Also - for ADHD it seems like desipramine and nortiptyline are as- or more effective than wellbutrin.

My Dr. also just moved me from approx 10mg of adderall to 100mg Wellbutrin SR twice per day to start (I'm assuming he'll up the dose). Before I comment on side effects, due to GAD with some depression symptoms, he's had me on 500mg/day of Serzone. I get strong sexual side effects from SSRIs and this hasn't done that and seemed to help. I also had symptoms of ADD and that was why the adderall - it seemed to help a lot with that small dose. I'm not sure he really believes i'm ADD and wanted me to try the Wellbutrin (lot's of pressure to not prescribe ADDerall, I think - triplicate forms, etc). I've tapered off the A, and am on the 200/day W, and I've experienced a mild weakness and joint pain since. I can't lift as much during my workouts. Also, my libido has disappeared totally both lack of interest and lack of capability. I hang in with it to give me more time to adjust, but so far I was much happier before.
