Haven't seen anything posted recently about s-AME. Is anyone out there using it and if so, what do you think? What has it helped?

I tried it, didn't work for me, but there's a sam-e board at www.delphi.com/samesupport. If you read through the messages you'll pick up a lot of information from people who have had success with sam-e (most after taking lots of convention meds). shellie

I'm currently taking it for a test drive and so far it seems great, especially in the energy dept. Which is weird because the first time I tried it, it made me extremely sleepy. Between sam-e and Wellbutrin, I'm getting more accomplished in a day that I used to in a week.

JohnB, if you don't mind my asking, how much of the Sam-e do you take, and how soon did you start to feel more energy? Also, what brand do you use? Thank you! CarolAnn

I had a curious reaction to SAMe. After about 3 days I realized that it had some significant SSRI type effects, but wasn't really going to be the answer for me. As a result I got very depressed. ANother med won't work! BOO HOO!!!
I suspect that its eventual role will be a very effective augmentor for a variety of meds.

1.200mg twice a day. 2. Almost immediately. 3. Nature Made bought at Costco.
Other people on the board have had positive results. JohnL for one; and there was a post from (I think?) a Sarah about a month ago that claimed an almost complete remission of symptoms. YMMV. --JohnB
