Hi, my problem is panic/OCD disorder. I have been taking Celexa for 31/2 months. It has helped where no other SSRI did. The only side effects are fatique and weight gain. Now since I suffer from anxiety, would it hurt me to add a stimulant at a very low dose to help with the fatique and weight gain? Has anyone who has panic attacks tried this? I did try Wellbutrin but did not get along with it. To stimulating. Is there any stimulant out there that is not so stimulating? I know that sounds funny, but I don't know how else to say it. I see doc tomorrow (24th) and really could use advice. Thanks Gloria

Our profiles are similar. I am on Celexa and have had lethargy and weight gain. I am looking for something mildly stimulating as well. Wellbutrin was an absolute nightmare for me. Disasterous. I've been thinking about Adderall since I suspect I may have ADD. I'm going to see my pdoc on Friday, and I'll get back to you with any relevant information. Good luck.

Cylert or Tenuate might be good choices. They are more tame than the other stimulants.

Unfortunately, my pdoc and I were sidetracked on the alcohol issue. I don't yet have any information about Celexa and Adderal. I will post later, if I get some.

hey there... I am also on Adderall, and yesterday I asked my shrink about mixing it with coffee... (I love my coffee) I had told him I had done some research and it said not to mix the two. He kinda laughed and said "You can mix that with anything". I get the idea that it is a relatively safe drug beyond the "amphetamine" thing. I had been told by his partner not to mix caffine with Adderall because they are both stimulants, but I chose my docs opinon. He has been at it a long time and is really down to earth. I would say, though, if you have any health problems I would certainly let your doc know. Especially if it is any heart or respatory probs. My blood pressure is low, so I had no problems with mixing two stimulants. Well, hope this helped, but to be sure, ask your doc or a pharmacist.

The adderall is very stimulating for a non ADD'r. It has been wonderful, though for me. It also has the great side effect of NO APPITITE!!! I have to be sure to eat in the am before I take it, or I won't eat until dinner time. It took me a bit to get used to that. Even with the stimulants, if i didn't eat, I would be weak in the early evening. I have already shed a few pounds and hope to shed a few more!
