I am writing a paper on xanax, and would like to know
the development stages it went through and studies that
were made in the developement of this drug. I'm having
trouble finding this part out, if any one knows a
website or somewhere I could call for this info I
would really appreciate it. My email address is
[email protected]. Thank you!

Historical information of this sort may only be available from the drug's manufacturer. Original studies are never published before a drug is patented; later ones may be delayed until the drug is released--a kind of free publicity aimed at those who would prescribe it.
Your best bet for early studies may be to determine when it was released on the US market and search PubMed for that year (you can do that from the Advanced Search option.) Good luck!
