we have heard a rumor that prozac will make you test positive for marijuana!we are concerned because a family member has a drug test coming up and is currently taking prozac and they are concerned that it will make them test positive for marijuana,i am hoping someone has facts to prove this rumor true or false!

I have never heard of this, and it doesn't make sense chemically. Sounds like an Urban Legend to me. Do I have the facts to 'prove' this ? No. It would be proving a negative - just about impossible to do.
By the way, Prozac has a very long half-life in the body, and it would take several weeks (if she quit today) to eliminate the stuff entirely from her body.

Generally drug tests use western blot or elisa (which can give false postivies) and then all positives are retested with gas cromatograph. With the GC there is no posibility of a false reading. Ask the drug testing people how they re-check the positives.
