Hello All,
I started back on Wellbutrin 150mg sr (the purple ones)
about a week ago. I have had some itching again like
I did when we tried it before. I mention the color
cause some of you have said the some of dyes can make
the itching better or worse. I feel better now that
I am on this again but I hope the itching will go
away. Before when I itched on it I was already up
to 300mg a day, we are gonna try to stay at 150mg
this time. I havent had any other side effects from
it and hope that mine and others that others of you
are having will go away as our bodies become use
to the drug. Has anyone else seen the side effects
especially itching wane as time goes on? I hope so.
I really want this to work for me.Sincerely
dave

When I complained of itching on Effexor my doc didn't miss a beat. "We gotta change, it won't go away." I just don't understand why the drug companies use these shitty dyes. Why don't they just do a deal with m&m's? They won't melt in your hands either!! Phil

It may go away. When I started on Premarin, I itched for several weeks, and then it resolved all by itself. You could go to the 100's two or three times a day to see if that helps.

Dave, I had severe itching for the first few weeks on Wellbutrin. I broke out in a rash over a large part of my body, and went to a doctor thinking I had a skin disease. He gave me cortisone, which reduced the itching, but it didn't go away. I mentioned the itching to my psychiatrist, and she said it was probably the Wellbutrin, and to give it some time.
After several weeks, the rash and the itching went away. The Wellbutrin worked great for my depression - the quickest response I have ever had to an AD - so I do think its a good medication. I was taking the 75mg and 100mg non-SR tablets.

> TorreyThanks for your reply Torrey, I still hoping it
will improve(the itching). I cant tell how much
the wellbutrin has helped my depression but I
guess it has helped some. I'm gonna keep trying.
Thanks again for your input Torrey.
Sincerely
dave

Well, the itching seems to have almost completely
cleared up, its been about 2 wks now, only thing
is is that I'm not really sure how much its helping
my depression, I dont really feel all that great.
Oh well, maybe my doc with try to up the dose.
Good Luck all.
Sincerely
dave
