Can the 7 day Clonidine patch be used with ADHD kids?

The clonidine patch can be used in ADHD kids after the daily oral dose is stabilized. The only problem I've seen with it is that it can sometimes peel off if the child is very active in sports or something and sweats alot.

My son has been on the clonodine patch for over a year.
He has ADHD and even after trying several medications
he was still quite uncontrollable. He was placed on
dexadrine at the age of 3. I read a book by Dr. Phelan
on ADHD and when I was not able to get assistance from
my sons physician when the dexadrine was not completely
working I contacted Dr. Phelan's office. He was wonderful
and spoke with me over the phone. He had suggested I try the
clonodine patch in conjunction with the dexadrine. We have
since switched physicians and medications to adderall and
clonodine. It has been PHENOMENAL!!! Most of all my son does
not seem "drugged" out or out of it all. I discovered that
the adderall worked with his attention problems and the
clonodine controlled his uncontrollable outbursts and
anger. During this past summer we switched from the patch
to the pills. My son is now 6 years old. The upside to the patch
is it is in place for several days, 24 hours a day. This was fine
when my son was younger. As he got older and became more active
and swam during the summer, we were constantly changing the
patch and losing effectiveness. Since switching to the pills,
we no longer have this problem. Hope this helps!!!! If I can
