Sometimes I want to start school all over again too. But it's so expensive I'd rather just take a class or two right now.
I really don't know how to figure it out. I'm one of those people with multiple interests. I was thinking about studying a language cuz its one of my interests and there's always a need for interpreters. What I'm saying is I am thinking, well if I take some classes in this I'll most likely get a job when I'm done. Therefore, someone majoring in a language is pretty smart cuz they'll be able to find a job when done with school. Whereas...something like art...that's such a tough competetive job to get into and actually make a living out of just that. So I'm not going to art school.
I know people who know EXACTLY what they want to do and nothing stops them. They just keep going and going knowing what they want as their outcome. I never was like that. And what I had to do, which I didn't realize when I was in school, was to take some time off. I took a lot of time off (due to some issues I had, not just for the sheer pleasure of taking time off,) and it turned out to be really good for me. There was no pressure to choose this major or that major.
Choosing a major is hard. Because there are multiple things we are interested in. It's not fair. So I would say, settle. Settle for something you like and are interested in. sometimes it turns out you really don't like it after you've tried it, so then I would say take some time off to work and think about it and if you go back to school pick something else. And I know what some of what I'm saying is easier said than done.
I don't really know what I'm gonna do w/ my education. There was a time when I was interested in becoming a counselor. But now I don't know. I plan to volunteer and perhaps take a class.
