That tells me the type of interaction you are involved in does not exhaust you or challenge you enough to reduce your need to do stimulating and challenging work. Remember, you had all your nursing background which made you someone that thrives on alot of decision making.
When I was recently working (I would not recommend the level of intensity that I was involved with) I would come home so physically and mentally drained that I had not one thought of "boredom" as the job I had could have keep 3 people fully challenged. That is what many of the job demands are like today.
If I were you, I would get a part time job in a hospital using your nursing background, but not having to be licensed, etc. You should check it out. I'm sure they would be happy to have you...how far from a hospital are you located?
You still have it in you to do more than you are currently doing, I hear this in your posts over and over..the desire and need to be useful again.
I know you biking and are very social with others and that is great, as so many of us cannot do that, but you still have the energy and intelligence to need a higher level of stimulation on a daily basis, by which you feel you have worth and value...Perhaps you were disabled long before you should have been. It is not too late to get back and find something that will give you a sense of purpose again, as I know nursing really did this for you.
I'm supporting whatever you do but think you need a higher level of stimulation to give you back some of the self esteem and confidence you got from being a nurse.
