I will literally have to have a gun to my head or knife to my throat to ever call a 1 800 number again. I must have the luck of the Irish because I have gotten and had the worst experiences calling 1 800 numbers for "help". I mean absolutely the worst! I called 1 800 SUICIDE on my birthday one year when I had 1)moved to a new city, new no one 2)and hadn't gotten a card, gift or phone call from anyone on my special day. The person on the other end told me in a rather Dr Phil in your face way "you are feeing sorry for yourself". I am sorry, but what I was going through was not feeling sorry for myself. Who was to become my T later on confirmed that the telephone called was handled atrociously. As far as paying for therapy online I have often 'wished' I had lots of money so I could take advantatage of this service in between sessions. I think I am the kind of person that could use therapy just about every day of the week. It is one of the only times I feel connected to someone and not an iceberg floating in a huge ocean all alone.
