I felt exactly that - that every hour with her was one hour less. And I had a terrible kind of internal countdown. HOWEVER, the reality is that right before the end I commented that it didn't feel like a loss, it felt like a gain. And that remains true. The explanation for that is simply because the last tranche of time with her was so special, so remarkably profound. We just concentrated on US, and the amazing thing we had. And that has endured. And that has been enough.

So maybe what i would say is try to change your focus. Look at what you have, look at what you have had with her, look at yourself and your heart and see her firmly embedded there. You are not going to lose any of that.
