Doing some research on natural MAO-B inhibitors led to "Phellodendron amurense" (amur corktree) as being the most potent natural MAO-B inhibitor.
Interestingly, at first, I thought this was some obscure herb that I would not be able to obtain. I realized I actually had it already. The supplement Relora is a mixture of two herbs phellodendron amurense and magnolia.
Anyhow, I have been battling some severe fatigue and brain fog (possibly due to long covid?). I found that relora seemed to help the brain fog considerably. So, I ordered just the phellodendron amurense from amazon.
For some reason, I seem to benefit from MAO-B inhibiting herbs (fo-ti, cocoa, green tea, licorice etc).
I will let you know if this herb has any effect by itself.
I wish I could do a trial of selegiline. I currently take methylphenidate, which helps, but its harsh.
