Interesting.
According to wikiepdia:
"it prevents the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from axon endings at the neuromuscular junction and thus causes flaccid paralysis."
This may mean that there may be some central anticholinergic effect. Although, I have not heard any reports of any central anticholinergic like side effects (i.e. memory loss). I take minute quantities of belladonna extract (anticholinergic) from time to time to treat depression.
