Hey empowered...
On paper Ritalin and Wellbutrin appear to be interchangeable, but studies seem to suggest that Wellbutrin does possess more antidepressant effect.
I've never taken it, so I can't really say, but some of the nicotinergic receptor modulation might be involved. Also Wellbutrin has some pretty potent anti-inflammatory effects (which might benefit schizophrenia) but Ritalin doesn't.
I'm possibly looking at trying a Wellbutrin + lithium or a Wellbutrin mirtazapine combination. But, I can't really have no idea how well it might work for me as an antidepressant.
