daytime prazosin side effects?

Posted by porkpiehat on November 27, 2018, at 14:56:47

Hey all...I restarted taking prazosin 1 mg last week at night to help improve my sleep...It nearly obliterates my constant nightmares and night terrors.

I also take gabapentin 100 mgs at night to improve sleep and boost mood and take away some of the numbing I get on Nardil (45mgs). I've been finding since adding prazosin at night I get a lot of of cramping and diarrhea, extreme tiredness the next day AFTER I take my morning meds (15mgs Nardil, 100mgs Lamictal, 50 mgs modafinil). Also in the afternoon I am getting physical anxiety like palpitations and throat tightening.

I have been following this morning schedule for a month now and had been getting a lift from it.

Maybe I just have a stomach bug, but I'm worried that they are withdrawl symptoms from the prazosin, which has a short shelf life, given that I'm taking something that boosts NE/NA (nardil).

I also take agmatine sulfate sometimes during the day, which acts much like clonidine in that in a complicated way it reduces peripheral adrenaline effects while increasing concentration in the higher brain...alpha receptors primarily.

Any one else familiar with prazosin side effects? I've been tempted to take 5mg of propranolol, which helps with physical and mental anxiety, and sometimes lifts the tiredness I get from NE activation (weird I know) but I dont want to play around with too many NE blockers (alpha AND beta)

Cheers
