What kind of an effect does Lithium tend to have? i saw a new Pdoc today and this is what he prescribed in a low dose, not for bipolar, but for depression. i havent taken it yet, and would like to have an idea of what to expect.

SSRI's never gave me a stimulant effect and antipsychotics did not cause me a decrease in pleasure. So....Lithium had no effect at all that I noticed except to quiet intrusive thoughts of self-harm, which was what it was intended to do. But that's only 600mg. I'm sure things are different at higher doses.
