Anyone still using BuSpar? It helped so much with my cognition/concentration and social anxiety last time but it made me so fracking irritable I had to stop.
Now I'm taking it with 10 mgs Celexa instead of 25mgs and hoping it will make a difference. It has certainly already cut down racing recriminations of myself and others, and reading speed has doubled after four days.
It took about two weeks before the anger really kicked in the last time I took it. Do we know why this happens? It seems to antagonize DA and agonize adrenaline (in simple terms). I've read suggestions that Buspar creates this reaction in BP patients (as does zoloft...dysphoric mania).
I was hoping that adding some low-dose ritalin (which I had been taking up to this point) or adderal might help in fighting the anger if it is a function of DA antagonism...maybe too much adrenaline however if that's the source.
Anyone with thoughts on this?
Cheers and Thanks!
Also taking:
10mg Celexa
175mg Lamictal
.25 mgs Klonopin (tapering)
Atripla (HIV med) nightly
