What about using Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) during those times when anergia predominates? It usually does not produce the same degree of "let down" when it wears off as do other preparations of methylphenidate (Ritalin).

I find that adding desipramine or nortriptyline to Parnate acts to produce a more robust antidepressant response.

What dosage of Parnate are you taking?
