Things like that can often be deceptive...
The person might charge a patient for a 15 minute slot.
Or that might be the cost of initial assessment (together with extensive report - which actually takes quite a bit to put together especially if it is to be used for disability or whatever).
I'm not saying it is wrong... Just that stuff like that can be really deceptive.
I remember hearing of how much lecturers got 'per lecture' in certain places and being wowed. Then discovered that the reality was that you wouldn't have more than 1 lecture per day. And then the couple hours preparation that you were expected to do per lecture. The office hours that were associated. The student emails. The grading. The tutorials...
But then... If after years and years and years of practice you are in the position of having a few clients who are regular... Such that you can drop your hours the hell back... I guess that is the dream for a lot of people.
Who knows...
It is probably a good idea to say that. If you aren't taking on any more clients. Then you might be able to 'just sneak someone in to see you' on the odd occasion... You build up a reputation of 'wow he charges that much?? He must be so good!!'
I am a cynic.
