Hey Alex, good luck with Clomipramine...I've never tried it. I'm back on Elavil myself so I can sleep plus the sedation helps a bit with the panic attacks I've been having, and Vistaril helps a bit too. But I am so sedated right now and I have to drive to see my therapist in half an hour and I think it may not be safe but I've cancelled or changed to phone sessions so many times if I do it again who knows she may dump me plus it helps to get out of the house.
Sorry I am just babbling...hey that's funny, I'm in the right place to babble...but I am so zonked but at the same time so anxious I want a lobotomy...I can't have benzos anymore b/c I'm addicted to them but life has been a nightmare without them.
Anyways, I'll stop babbling! If you find you can, let me know how it goes with the Clomipramine, and if that fails, with Prozac. Oh, to answer your question, Prozac helped me for years, actually for about 10 years. But the efficacy slowly declined over the years. Then Lexapro helped. But everything stopped helping after I had ECT 2 yrs ago. How I wish I had never done that.
Take care and good luck
