Deneb TSH stands for thyroid stimulating hormone. So it's basically the hormone. There is a feedback loop that starts at pituitary. You have a scientific mind. You would enjoy reading how very complex it is and most likely would understand it better than me. I also have elevated thyroid TSH. But so many factors go into it is it autoimmune? Making it Hasimotos or just Hypothyroidism. A person with thyroid disorder takes a daily pill to regulate the thyroid to the normal number. When I first got thyroid hasimotos my TSH was 22. Very high. Range the docs now like the endos is l-2. Mine is now up to 4.8 and my endo considers this high although my Free T4 was in normal range. So the test will be repeated about 6 weeks from now. Deneb Dinah has a totally different thyroid factor a nodule and what she says is correct most are nothing at all. Just get scanned every so often.
