A post-nardil side effect - maturity req.

Posted by ChaosTheory on November 3, 2010, at 19:25:03

This is the last post in the world I actually want to write, but, my doctor probably won't know the answer, nor will the other doctor in his office, so here goes.

Real maturity required for this. If you think you can't be, then please don't read it or respond to it. I'd really appreciate it. I'm not sure where else to post this or who else to ask besides here.

Ok, last chance to skip this post....

Ok, like some other drugs, Nardil caused inorgasmia (spell-checker doesn't think that's a real word - I thought it was). So, the inability to achieve an orgasm, about 95% of the time, anyway. It had its benefits, like being able to last as long as you wanted, like a porn-star (but I'm sure they edit those scenes anyway). ;) But, the quite obvious down-side.

So, I forget now how long I've been off of it.. I think it's been a few months.

I've been on it 2 times before, and after stopping it, this did NOT happen. Only this one time. I'm on no other meds at the moment nor have I been for a month or two.

Now, instead of not being able to have an orgasm, I have one too quickly. Not premature ejaculation per say, but close enough. So, I don't last long enough to pleasure a woman, which is keeping me from being with one, due to sheer embarrassment. I'm over 40 and I've never had this problem in my life, even in my teens. Having and maintaining an erection is not the problem, just so I'm clear.

Has Nardil done this to anyone? I don't think anyone is actually going to admit this on the forum, so if you could please babblemail me, and any solution to the problem you know about, I would really appreciate it.

I need a new PCP anyway, so I might go ahead and find one and ask them too. The problem doesn't seem to be getting better over time either, like one would think it would. I don't know what to do. Would anti-impotence drugs help? Should I have my testosterone level tested? Does that have anything to do with it?

I'm very confused and upset, not to mention, don't feel too manly now, to say the least. I need this like I need an STD!
