Weird--it's been almost a week since I stopped the antibiotics and I STILL feel awful. Like I am headed back into depression--I went from being happy-go-lucky, energetic, funny, and enjoying life again back to fatigued, frustrated, bored but not interested in anything...
I've been drinking a lot of water and eating well, but I wonder--could this still be going on or have mucked with my AD regimen so I need an adjustment regardless? I see the pdoc next week...

> What you felt was the typical die-off effect of bacteria. The body cannot clear out all those dead corpses, body parts, and spilled toxins fast enough. The liver, kidneys, and lymph glands become overwhelmed and all that nasty crap just builds up. And thus the crappy feeling. Depression, fatigue, and brain fog are common with that. It's called a Herxheimer reaction. Those are also common symptoms of people before antibiotics....they don't realize it is an infection causing their symptoms that the psychiatrist is attempting to treat. It is also a very good diagnostic tool when testing a suspected hunch someone might have Lyme or something.
