The nighttime terrors could be God's version of hell. Imagine that feeling for eternity.

Have you stopped your amitriptyline completely? I could imagine that could unleash quite a horror in the brain if that happened.

I would up the amitriptyline by at least 10 - 20 mg before bedtime to make sleeping a pleasureable experience as opposed to this unbearable torture..

One thing I learned was that pacing was far better than laying in a dark bed trying to fall asleep. For me the best thing is to get the lights on in the room, start pacing and some nice deep breathing.
